Places to visit

Bad Dürrheim holds the dual distinction of being both a spa town and a health resort with a therapeutic climate. Here, you’ll find Germany’s first “Club Town” (3rd place in the 2007 German Tourism Award).

Highlights of the town include

  • the Solemar,
  • the Black Forest Sauna,
  • the Kurpark,
  • the Vital Center, and
  • the wellness treatments in the spa area.

Shopping opportunities are available at a regional shopping center on the outskirts of town.

The surrounding area is characterized by its excellent

  • air quality,
  • hiking opportunities, and
  • well-maintained bike paths. (Bad Dürrheim has served as a stage location for the Tour of Germany on several occasions; every year, the Riderman—a mass-participation race organized by the International Cycling Union with approximately 2,000 participants—takes place here.)

The excellent connections to the highway network (A 81, B 27, B 33) also allow you to explore this diverse and interesting region. Within an hour’s drive, you can discover historical, scenic, athletic, or cultural highlights.
